As a non-vegan, I always chose Kindred as the best place for vegan food. They have a fantastic cocktail list. I always go for their tiki style drinks and they usually have a fun mug for sale as well. My favorite food item is the fried pickles with pickled buffalo cauliflower, delicious. I also tried an impossible burger for the first time, pretty good. Id definitely say check Kindred out for a fun atmosphere and amazing drinks. If you’re looking for vegan food too then this is your place.

Wow! What a surprise Kindred was for us non-vegan eaters. Now I know how y’all feel every time you go most places to eat! ✊🏽
We went early Sunday for our vegan friends birthday and had great service from the bar and table server.
I had the pancakes and they were amazing. We tried all sorts of things we would normally maybe not try, like; tofu Benedict! (Though I may ask for the ‘hollandaise’ on the side if you don’t like mustard)
Cocktails are on point as any CH location tend to be. We tried the River Styx and it was fire! Go for brunch Sundays 10-2 or cocktails but prepare to wait as the location isn’t huge and is very popular. Worth it! -A Carnivorous dairy eater.

One of the best vegan bars that I’ve ever been to in the country. So if you are not vegan you can still enjoy the bar because it’s super clean open and inviting. If you are vegan then this is the place to be to participate in what probably is equivalent of being at some other high-end bar where you won’t be able to get any vegan food. Here you’ll be able to enjoy a myriad of good vegan foods. Lot of them might be fried and not the healthiest but you can still get salads and vegetable type plates. If I lived in San Diego I would be hitting this place up on the weekends and if I was single I’d be taking dates here all the time. Since I’m married of course I would take my wonderful wife here once every couple of years. Just kidding haha.. I would take her every weekend 😀

The food was delicious! I had an order of the Benedict. The way the tofu is breaded really gives it a fried chicken feel to it. Personally I like my asparagus to be a bit softer and I think it could do without the parsley. Just two minor critics of really an outstanding dish. I will definitely be ordering it again.

Even if you aren’t an elder emo or metal head, this place is the truth!

The brunch cannot be skipped, under any circumstances. The potatoes with pimento cheese absolutely knocked our socks off. The butterscotch waffle was wonderful.

The benny was also fantastic. Most memorable for me though was the non alcoholic charcoal pineapple drink, lord - so good!

The gluten free options weren’t obvious or denoted so I needed to ask.
